There was someone with 3x jag/rd hybrids... The website evades me at the moment, but I'm pretty sure the webmaster's name is jeff, and he owns some large dovii, umbee, haitensis, motaguensis, etc.

well the female rd ate all of the eegs... so thats that i guess.

my friend has a 110 with numerous fish in it (Jag, pike, red devil, texas, salvini, gt, 2 jd's and a big pleco. my question is this. has anyone ever heard of a jaguar mating with a red devil? lately the two have been doin a lot of pre-breed behavior including nipping chasing and such. now the two of them have dug a hole in the corner of the tank and are sitting in it together rubbing on each other shaking. plus none other then the 13" pike dare come down from the top of the tank with a recent death of the texas(no doubt due to their actions). and when he went to fill the hole back in his jag charged him mouth agape. anyone ever heard of this? if the eggs are planted and fertilized what are the odds of live hatchlings? we have been in the hobby for a while but are looking for the knowledge of the few who devote their lives to this hobby, thanks.
My male red dvil 9 inches and my female jag 7 inches were also showing signs of breeding, the female jag would flare up at him, twicth and they even dug holes and cleared flat rocks together and chased away all other fish. but tehn my red devil male got way too aggressive even toward teh jag and almost killed her so i ahd to seperate them. but man would it have been awsome if tehy actually spanwed

Hi, yes I have. I had it happen about 10years ago. They will be very aggressive fish when they hatch !!! The fish will be very ugly while small then they will change into very beautiful fish. Image a jag with red devil colors and the jags pattern.
