Yeah your probably right, worse is when you give someone advice and they choose to ignor it and go ahead and kill off the arowana anyways.:irked:

ya...then later when it gets posted and we say "remeber what we said"...we get called all sorts of names and garbage for being "high and mighty" or "we think we know everything and we should give the guy a break, cause stuff happens"...one of the reasons i kinda have faded in and out of the aro section...everyone asks for advise and do what they want regardless...then the advisors are made out to be inept...it gets to be like...whats the point in answering some simple questions as 95% don't care to listen?... then the ones that do listen get missed do to all the garbage...it is sad really...

you do it because there are always a few people who do listen.. because they deserve to be answered..you do not punish everyone because some do not follow your good advice...

i know some people do listen and they are the ones that get missed in all the mess of people that don't...as the people that don't are mostly the ones bumping their threads to the top to get more answers...the few that wait for a reply most often don't get seen cause of this and they are the ones that take it to hart...if that makes sence...i still answer any questions i can as if i have questions i would hope for the same...it more or less comes down to the lack of research and people that don't know pretending they know and tring to discredit the ones that do know cause in their 2 weeks of aro keeping they have all the answers...while the people that have years of exp get drowned out by all the white noise and band wagon...

idk if it is just me venting right now or what, but it is what it is...no ofense to the op about derailing this thread as he just lost a beautiful fish, witch could have been avoided by something as simple as listening to the reply that they asked for as it happens far to often...

I don't care about people derailing, But now I know I'm a complete idiot for killing so many of the fish I've owned, And after people give me good advice I go and mess everything up again....

even though its a baby aro idk why youd move it in to a jag tank let alone a 55G tank? i believe i know what you were doing but not a good idea with a jag..now you know..gl next time

Remember one thing.. everyone is different in many aspects..some people need many lessons.. some can absorb info right away.. etc etc..it is up to us to do our best in giving our advice.. to all.. once the advice is given your part is done... you did your good deed for the day..:D if you are getting burnt out giving your advice let someone else handle it... until you feel good about it again..

just try to go back to the basics... learn from asking... and ask again if you don't get it... and don't jump in so deep .... take your time and have a plan... we all make mistakes.. but the best thing is too avoid the mistakes if you can... by listening and learning to others who made the mistakes before you...
