jag barely eats

This is just my personal experience. Once they reach 10" I skip 2 days a week if I feed anymore they usually seem to just be going thru the motions eating instead of attacking it. My male is around 13-14" eats 4-5 days a week. I you want max growth look to cleaner water with water changes. I recommend a temp of 80F and atleast a 10x total tank volume turnover rate in gph. Water change if solo atleast 75% weekly.

Don't worry about the tank mate situation the jag will sort that out for you one day. Oscars are fight starters jags are fight enders. All it takes is a funky mood one day and they will clear out a tank learned that the hard way.

if he goes bonkers one day ill just get rid of the others, he is afterall the reason i got such a big tank

He will, mine did as did all others before him, although my last one lasted the longest before trying to swallow my 6 inch female and murder everything

You want growth on the Jag......give him his own tank, & do frequent massive WC's. That's a huge bio-load for a 125, & to the best of my knowledge, fish secrete a growth inhibiting hormone into the water column via their urine.....more fish in the aquarium = less growth. Honestly, a Jag could dominate any size tank.....I'm really surprised he hasn't whacked everything else in their already.

My Jag will wolf down 12 pieces of FD krill @ a time.....minimum.Same w/ pellets. But he has a tank all to himself.....does not play well w/ others, & not just cichlids. STRONG in The Dark Side is Sidious......:evil_lol:
