The jag/dempsey cross is definately possible. About a year or so ago, someone traded in a couple of babies out of a brreding pair of dempsey and jag. One was not purchased for some time and grew to about 5 inches before being purchased. It is now over 8 inches. The shape is dempsey with jag patterning. Very dark gold/brown/black coloration.

Thats funny my PB and FM just laid eggs last night. Some are turning white and like Bsixx said they are non firtle eggs. The fish will pick the white ones off so they wont hurt the other eggs. Your combination of the jag and jd is better than mine. good luck!
