I currently have a 7" Jag and a 7" JD in my 220g. I'm waiting for some fish to grow out in my 75g before I add them to the 220g.
I've noticed over the past couple weeks that the Jack and the Jag have been seemingly inseparable. They constantly swim around the tank together digging in the substrate and hiding behind the driftwood together. I haven't personally seen the behavior yet, but I know that they've been locking lips as I can see the scratches on their lips. I know that the Jack is a male, and I'm 99.9% sure that the Jag is a female. Within the past few days the Jag has really been going at the digging as well as clearing off sections of a chunk of slate and the adjacent driftwood. She has a very full belly, and I'm wondering if I'm not going to see eggs soon. This could get interesting. I'll keep you updated.
