:nilly: lately my jag fry have been dying for some reason! like a dozen a day! i change the water like every 2-3 days, the tank is filtered, i feed them twice a day with frozen cyclops and brine shrimp. they are about 3/8". the tank is a bare 10 gallon that is heated. the fry that are dying look listless and just hang towards the surface head down. there are plenty of active and healthy fry that are getting big and fat, but i don't know whether i have some kind of epidemic going on? there's no signs of fungus or whatever. i've never seen this before when breeding fish! any ideas??

natural selection... survival of the fittest.. you are probabbly going to lose more until you have your strongest fry of the bunch

Could be not enough feedings? Try and feed them 5 times a day untill they hit 1". Then cut it down to 3 or 4. Once they hit 3", make it 2 times a day.

If your feeding them brine shrimp, its very easy to get parasitic protosans or hydra which will kill the fry. Are the glass sides of tank a little slimy? Feel a non fry tank and compare feel if your not sure what I am describing. I am assuming no ammonia or nitrite here so pls check those too.
