pretty sure female but it is way too small to actually tell . let it grow another inch for a positive sex !

really to young to tell, last pic fins suggest may be a male, but as stated to small to tell for sure.

It kind of looks male to me, but the pics are blurry on my end. Still young and looks to be the dark stressed color so its tricky

ya, no way to know for sure till older. still sporten I hope you can not see me body.

im saying female because I don't see any blue hues at all in its fins. but it does have a male profile mouth. Spotting under his chin should be more prominate. but like I said before I could be wrong and it is too early to tell without venting the fish. It is really tricky at this stage. #1 the fish is stressed # 2 very small still. Feed him lots of good food ( bloodworms, crickets , small nightcrawlers ) staple pellet such as nls . and jags love 30 to 50 % water changes they grow fast !

I don't see why he would be stressed. I do frequent wanted changes and it's just him and my gar in a 75g. I know that they'll need a bigger tank eventually, but do I need something bigger now? He's only 4-5 inches..
