second pic next largest...strongly believe male..fish(the smallest) in lower part of pic...probabaly female but,questionable.

third pic second largest again..

fourth pic 3rd largest...could go either way....

Couple of last pics for the weekend....
Male grow out...
For the benefit of those past present and future trying to tell the sex of their Jaguar cichlids.... and for those who don't want to go through the chore of taking their fish out of the water to vent .... I wanted to share.....In the 2nd pic because his ventral area is lined up with the heater ,when you zoom in there close ,his male papillae shows up....looks like a rose bush thorn....it may not be prominent all the time,but I have found that with the many pics I have taken ,when examined, it can often enough be seen..so people...the moral of the story is...take and post more pics of your jags:).....

my tank is swarming like locusts atm with jag fry. never seen them disperse like this before, have a large meat ball at the bottom. rest swarming the top.

Thanks....his appetite continues....am trying to keep him used to a good variety of food...hopefully won't be as picky as his dad and thus grow to monster proportions.....:)
