Jag Habitat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
In about a year, you wont be able to use large on a jag tank. They are very strong fish and loves to move things around, spitting gravels all over, shoving all the decors, plastic plants, etc... all over the place.
Hitting, striking, slaming the tanks constantly, especially w/ lights on. Always scarea me all the time, like the glass is going to break.

My male jag is about 12", a beauty but a brute. :screwy:

My 6' tank which is shared by a jag and an oscar is mostly filled with mangrove root driftwood. I have this one fake plant which is siliconed into a sort of base to anchor it down which every day is sitting at either end of the tank. Its like both fish don't like it and keep moving it into the other fish's territory. I never see them do it though, its like they move it at night so the other doesn't notice :D

my jag doesnt mind fake plants puts where he wants them and he has alot of caves they like caves makes them feel safe rock formations u should get some more natrural rocks instead of the lava dont know if there is somewhere where u stay that sells rocks i take mine out of backyards or where rocks can be found, my jag pick up all kinds of substrate they dig get over it just fill in there hole keeps them busy my jag and his rd girl did all day i just fill in there holes and there busy and leave everyone else alone he also like the floating plants and flower pot works pretty well makes a good cave

caves mine loves caves but i have too put a peice of slate under the gravel because he moves gravel like a bulldoser ,he spends a lot time in the :WHOA: hole
