Is this a jaguar ray? Never seen one before. Are they hard to come by? Very attractive ray, congrats and hope she pops soon!

Yes this is a jaguar. They are probably the most hardy ray out there. Generally 3-4 a year will come up for sale. They bred first time at 12" for male and 15" for female. This pair I would guess to be 7 or 8 years old now.

Hoping so as well, not complaining but they have only had 1-2 pups at a time until last year when she had 3. Time for 4 plus.

Both rays look in great shape Mike, really like the pattern on the female. I had a pair of these many years ago, they were P25 Otorongo Jaguar, they grew to the same size as yours have, my female was also the prettiest of the two.
Can't be long now, I have a Henlei female about the same size and is 136 days gone, only usually has 2 pups, but like your female she is bigger this time.
Here's hoping we both get one or maybe two more this time around.

Good luck!

Here is to you as well Richard. There are 4 pups here from this pair that are 4 months to 8 months old 2 of them are dynamite looking and look very similar to falkneri. Hoping for 4 plus this time
