I keep 3 striped raphs with my jag he doesnt bother them. They are not very active at all during the day but different story once the lights go out..

what would happen if you put a fish like a raphael catfish in the same tank would the jag try to eat it and choke or would it kill it or leave it alone

depends on the fish, my pair will maul anything that moves, shadows, or even me through the glass, but then some are just mellow

with a pair, if breeding, defiently not

but single jags, in 125+ may be able to work depending on the fish, but don't do it in anything under a 125.

I agree, but no matter what you do, don't try to do it with the smallest tank you can afford. If you can't afford to get a big tank, you should try smaller fish.
