Depends on the reason for the sunken belly. If it is a parasite then it's not going to gain weight unless the parasite is taken care of.
 
How would I go about that then n how would I know for sure if it's parasite or something else. All help is appreciated

First step is to be looking for clear or white "ish" poop
 
Small skinny dark brown poop was was I vacced out last night when doing a wc. But I'll give it a few days n keep eyes peeled. Thanks bderick

Mines like it at the min Coz he's been in a treatment tank not eating for couple of week , it will go back its prob coz its new fish is it from lfs ? Prob just needs a good feed , if it don't improve try treating him with anti internal treatment for week or so just to be sure , I used interpet one last time this happened , hope this helps mate
 
Thank mate yeah I know they like to feed as little as pos in pet shops. I'll give him a while n ill keep u all posted. Going home now to c how they are been work all day hope no-ones kicked crap out of each other

Something has definitely gone down today while at work jag seems terrified of aro n n won't go near it no marks on any fish but it extremely calm in there with jag on bottom nervous looking

Mate my jags decided to batter my bullnose cat , they both want to go under new bog wood centre piece I put in :-( out comes the melafix
