Nothing but problems with this guy some of you may have seen my prior posts about his hiding. Took out all decorations and he has been out and about color is good however he hasn't really eaten since. Was always a voracious eater before even taking food out of my hand now food just sits on the bottom sometimes a worm is gone over night but may have just escaped into substrate. What is this fishes deal? So freaking difficult

I would put the decor back in, to start. he does not feel safe. can you post a vid/pic of him right now?

How long ago did you rearrange his/her tank? I know my jags can be quite stubborn it took weeks to switch them from marineland cichlid pellets to nls haha. My guess is he is still adjusting to the new surroundings, give it time and hunger will win!

I agree there, it always does. they can go 3 weeks with out eating just fine. But jags do need some decor. something to swim around and under, something they can identify with and give meaning to there territory. other wise just a glass box.

Been about a week without decor before taking it out he was pretty much invisible rarely exploring his tank unless it was food time then right back into hiding

just a little guy, give him some place to feel safe IMHO, even the big guys want it from time to time. I just took a vid of my jag tank, they spawned yesterday and male copped an attitude when i came to the tank and hid, FYI he did all the digging, water change for them today. I will be leveling it back out again.

I know this is about jags but I need help on telling if my green Terros is a boy or girl I have 2 they are fun I named them Tom and Jerry could you please help me image.jpg

As far as decor for jags is it the more the better or do you take more of a minimalist approach I have many large broken flower pots and some nice Malaysian driftwood pieces
