Jag not eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
actually that's not true, male will cop an attitude and go dark and hide, but that's only like 10 minute thing then back out and golden again. female never darkens.

As far as decor for jags is it the more the better or do you take more of a minimalist approach I have many large broken flower pots and some nice Malaysian driftwood pieces

When young they like decor for hiding. However when 12" or so decor is pretty useless in my experience. My male just moves the decor in one corner

Also ive found a huge difference in behavior between a legit pure bred jag and the average pet store variety.

you need large decor. that wood in my tank is over 3ft. he aint moving,,, yet?.

never had domestic? jags. so can not answer to that.

LoL just got snapped. filling the jag tank and feeling the water going in for temp, stupidly I put my hand over her clutch with out looking, SNAP!!!!, my fault, no blood just a 'watch what you doing I got young here" thing.

Nothing but problems with this guy some of you may have seen my prior posts about his hiding. Took out all decorations and he has been out and about color is good however he hasn't really eaten since. Was always a voracious eater before even taking food out of my hand now food just sits on the bottom sometimes a worm is gone over night but may have just escaped into substrate. What is this fishes deal? So freaking difficult
How about crickets. My Jag loves crickets.
