Yer think ill give that s go first this time round , she needs feeding up in my grow out tank first , what size would you try it at ?she's about 3/4" and my males knockin on 9" , how long should I keep the divider before I give it a go week or so ?
Just wait until she's around 5 o 6 inches. Then give it a week let them interact with each other through the divider, then after a week remove the divider, be ready to put it back in if things get ugly. There will be lock jawing and it looks a lot like fighting but its mostly them just checking each other out. If things get ugly (as in your male really starting to injure your female) put the divider back in, wait until she heals, then remove it again. They may pair up or they may not, it takes patience but you should give it a go. Goodluck!!!
Wow...that's faster than my JD fry. They're about 4 days old now...and they're still all in a big quivering mass inside of a flower pot. Tank temp. is 82°F. Maybe JD's develop slower.
