That tank will not prevent them from reaching a very big size, if you keep up with water changes. Clean water is also very important.

I think in time they will hit 16 inch.

No way 8 foot is necessary sure the bigger the better but thats alot of water for a pair

I have had many jags I say if you're going solo a 120G-150G should be good. 200-240 for a pair for life. My male was able to live in a 220G with my community of geos and clown loaches and he grew pretty big to aroud ~14-15". Most Jags stop at around 13" from my experience

I lost him year . He was a very big boy. I moved on and started keeping wild Umbee's now.
