i can agree with this post. the first pic does revel what appears to be a female tube hanging out. although it is a bit blurry in that shot, in that general area.

Funny, before I left the house tonight I checked in on my jag. She was acting kind of strange to me. She had dug out one of her gravel pits down to the bare glass bottom, and kept swimming around in a small semi circle, putting her "tube" area against a rock formation at one end of her pit. When I got home a few minutes ago I checked back in and the entire rock was full of eggs!!! So I guess she answered the question for me. But I do have another question. Is there any chance that a 2 inch male convict cichlid could fertilize them? Not that Im looking for that to happen or anything. (the convict was supposed to be a feeder, the jag never ate him though, and now he's been in there for a couple weeks). What should I do about the eggs in the tank? I have heard that she will eventually eat them if they arent fertilized??? Can anyone confirm this, or should I attempt to scoop them out in a couple of days?
