if your gonna upgrade I would just find a nice male and keep the nicest female cause breeding parachromis are the best and jags are amazing breeders, if thats not appealing a pair of convicts are very underrated and can hold their own well and dont take up too much space

The only thing you can put with a Jag is another fish that has about the same aggression level. It is better to house them by themselves unless you want a constant battle in the tank for territory.

Really, any other cichlid added to a tank that small is going to get pushed around regardless of our best intentions. Ive had 3 and 4" cichlids beat each other almost to death in a 90 which is the same footprint as your 75. I think your chances of pulling off another cichlid are slim. The two jags alone in a 75 is going to eventually end in a casualty most likely. Non cichlids are your best options
