Jag with fish stuck in mouth (picture) - help?

This beautiful monster ate a blue acara - but the acara has lodged head first in the Jag's mouth. It had been like this for 3 days and is starting to go rotten.

Anyone know what to do about this???

couldnt you save the fish? anyway get it out of the water and try gently pulling out bit by bit

your gonna have to do it quick coz your gonna loose alot of fish,

Anyone done this before?If the acara is lodged then I'm gonna damage the Jag. Any tips?

you can always shove the fish a bit further down to dislodge it and then pull it out gently. i did this my flowerhorn when it swallowed my oscar

do it asap, you are gonna kill EVERYTHING in your tank if you dont

OK - fish surgery successful. The trick was to twist the fish to dislodge the spines.

Hopefully the Jag is still alive tomorrow.

maybe stick some salt and up the temp just to prevent investion ....well maybe not prevent but might help matters a bit

He's not looking like a happy fish. His mouth is slightly extended. I hope I haven't broken anything getting that fish out.

I've upped the water temp and added some salt. Fingers are crossed.
