I got my Jag!

I drove 350ish miles for the "Jag" that turned out to be a loisellei. All i had to do was go down to my LFS and pick between the dozens of Jags, Geos, 3 different kinds of PBass, etc, etc. :drool: I was going crazy trying to buy more tanks, see what combinations i could do. I eventually just decided to leave PBass for later and a much bigger tank.

I went with one fish, a beautiful little jag about 1.5 inches long. He was the biggest so im guessing he's a he.

Anyways, once the koi have grown out of the 125 into the pond, i will move the Jag and the Loisellei there and split the tank (not permanent).

Im so happy i got my Jag, i felt ripped off. :thumbsup:
 
Believe me when I say that the loisellei probably won't disappoint you. Mine is not nearly as docile as everyone says they typically are. Where I live they are hard to get. I got my Loisellei the same way you did, it was labeled as a Jag!!
 
i was going down to san diego to retreive the rest of my stuff anyways and to see friends/party. so i went down to the LFS that i usually went to and risked the fish's life by travelling all the way back up to where i live now.

i should have just gone down to party and when i came back, the jag would've been waiting for me. i guess i went this other petstore (one i went to as a child) after the fact.

anyways. im satisfied. my loisellei eats like a little beast and my jag is still skiddish but i'm confident will eat like crazy as well.

I love jags myself, but had I a chance to pick up a loisellei I would go for it. Glad to hear that you now have what you were after, as well as another cool fish. When young, loisellei have a voracious appetite...and will swallow smaller tank mates given a chance, watch him ;)
 
Something tells me SouthCentral is cracking a joke about my Loisellei! A couple months back I was keeping my Loisellei in a deep tank and I added a Silver Arrowana that was as long as the Loisellei. They were fine till I left the room so time after the Arrow being put in the tank. Things looked promising... Then I came back in the room and the Loisellei had the Arrow in his mouth. I was ANGRY!!! Got another one though, but he will never go with the Loisellei!!!!!
 
Yeah, that is what I was getting at. How much has that fish cost you on top of the initial price paid Ry?
 
well... the Arrowana was 30 and he has killed 2 or 3 FH's plus I know he has had a hand in killing a few others but the 3 fish HE killed was about 90 plus tax! lol He's a nasty sob
