Which species of Parachromis do you like more, Dovii or jaguar? Which one is meaner? and which one is better looking? I like the jaguar a bit more, because when they get older they have that white coloration with black spots, but I like both.

Its a toss up, I like them both. In my experience their aggression level is pretty similar, but dovii are much more capable of destroying other fish.
I like both but I favor the Dovii better. They diplay a lot more colors than the JAgs. Both are capable of doing damage but the dovii has the reputation. They dont call them the king of cichlids for nothing.
if you are buying small ones, buy both and when they grow up pick one to keep or buy another tank 
I think the male dovii wins for looks. I have never had an adult dovii but have a 12" jag. He has a personality for sure. Nothing has entered a tank with him and survived.
the only thing with the dovii is they get huge. i always thought jags were a little more manageable and in my experience easier to obtain. both really cool fish though so its just about preference i guess.
