Ill be trying this soon, i am getting 1x 4" Albino P. Senegalus in 2 weeks. Then 2-5days after that i will be getting 5x 1-2" Jags and when there is a confirmed pair i will throw out the rest of the Jags, if that doesnt go well in the 125 i will put the Sen in another tank.

Throw them out?

Is that an Iceland expression for sell them?

Is that a sev with your jag? If so what size tank are they in?
If i could keep a jag with mine i'd be stoked.... However i'm not getting rid of my sevs though :)

And as for the initial reason for starting this thread, well thanks for making me look the fool!! Lol

Live and learn :D

A lot of Jags aren't outright aggressive but more territorial. I've never had a Jag that constantly chased fish around trying to kill them. All of mine were only aggressive to defend their territory or if another cichlid got in it's face. Now that might change in a smaller tank but as long as they have enough tank space you should be fine keeping a Jag with bichirs or other cichlids. And you don't look the fool, we all live and learn.

Just sell them, sry for the misunderstanding, i do my best in the english learning, well im just 14..

yeah it a sev, a large one too. i have them in a 125 which i originaly thought could house him for life...but now im on the lookout for a 180 or bigger 18" wide isnt quite big enough for him to turn around imo.

Shouldn't be a problem. I have a 10-10.5" male jag in with 2 ornates about 15" and 12". There's not even a glance from one to the other. The only time the jag even noticed them was when they would creep into his cave, them he just nudged them out, nothing serious.

Hmmmmmm I think i might go get me a jag next week and try it with my sevs... And as for my pal with the polys.... Well he's after a bloody arrow now, so i guess he might make his mind up at some time... And saying that, i'ts a silver arrow aswell so i don't think that'll be in a tank that size for long..
