I bought these two fish when they were 1"-2" I lucked out and got a male and female first time around. They are both about 5" long.

They didnt attempt to spawn until I stacked in the flat slate rocks.

sorry bout your loss but im sure they will try again soon. what i did with my gt (gold saum) was took out about half and left half with the parents as this is my first time also. but in your case i dont really see any tank mates so i say let them all stay for a while the parents should do good. and if your unsure do half and half. good luck

how big is the tank you got them running in? and is it gona be there tank for life with no tank mateS?
