I feed mine shrimp, frozen bloodworms, worms, beefheart, pellets and cooked shrimp from the grocery store.
The one I have was about 2" when I got him and he has grown to about 5" since June.

o jeesh they grow real fast..that's cool though I want him to..here's a couple pics of him today ( the day after I got him )..

he looks great! Mine had a couple larger fish in the tank with him, I am not sure if that helped speed his growth at all. I just got him a female yesterday, she is much larger than him. The small one is the male he was courting my fh, and the largeone the female(she layed eggs at the lfs)

I feed shrimp, smelt, beefheart, pellets, some krill and other odds and ends that he grabs from the other fish.
clean water will help it grow, you'll have a beast in no time:)

just make sure it is protein rich since they are carnivores. And I gotta say that is one of the best looking two inch jags I've ever seen:) I would normally feed mine pellets and feeders about a week, course mine was never a 15" monster like rally's

Grow it up fast so he can come to my house!:naughty:

I agree..My jags are always torn up due to fighting:( , I feed them F.bloodworms, pellets, chopped market shrimp and they wipe out what was supposed to be dither fish that i put in all at 1-2" my jags are about 3-4"...:grinyes:

mine gets krill, shrimp, pellets, cichlid sticks, beef heart. ect
Occasionally feeders.
Beautiful fish for his size though, thats for sure. Mine was almost 100% black at that size,
