If it will fit in his mouth, my jag will eat it! (if it squirms watch out!)
I feed him pellets, earth worms, meal worms (in other words leftover fishing bait), grasshoppers, crickets (theres plenty of them in the pasture right now), beetles, flies (its either throw them in the garbage or the fishtank cause I dont want them in the house anyway), and ocaisionaly feeder comets.
A varied diet makes for a healthy fish!

I feed my pair of jags pellets and krill. I've tried other food items but mine are surprisingly picky. I'd steer clear of feeder fish, since they tend to carry diseases. Mine did enjoy the 2" danios I had in the tank when I first got them though. I figured the danios would be safe since they were almost the same size as the jags but they didn't stand a chance.
