Been busy so have been able to dig but here's a thread from a quick five minute search. Though the guy may be ignorant, he says they need to be in groups. Go on YouTube and you can watch two in a group of four I believe fighting pretty viciously. The guy had made a thread on them a while ago, has them with ery sp peru like I have mine.
And some other fish. He doesn't directly say they're sensitive but Hints at it by saying they're experienced keepers. Talks about his trouble trying to acclimate and losing 7 out of 12 I believe.

Helpful info in there. Thanks, Moe. I don't think jags are as sensitive as DrownedFishonFire DrownedFishonFire found them but I too struggle with keeping some fish species, e.g., firewood catfish and lancer catfish, for some reason. They are exceptions and perhaps one day I will know why.

I struggle with keeping erythrinus erythrinus, but not erythrinus sp Peru or any other wolf I've kept. I've not kept an ery ery for more than two weeks I think, one died from knocking itself out from trying to jump out so much, another was eaten by my curu even thought was same size or larger than some fish in the tank. One I ordered came in bad condition seemed to be turning around one day but then took a dive to his death. I just don't have luck with them

Nice info on the jags:
I keep my colony of 6 jags at 83 degrees

they are piggies 🐷 when they are feeling its dark enough they will come out, they are gluttons and will gorge themselves silly on pellets i put down for all of them. The room itself has to be dark too. I never have the hood light on in that tank unless im doing maintenance or cleaning the glass and need to see better.

drop a earthworm when it gets dark it will enjoy that as a treat
