Not heard any noises yet but will let you know if I do - certainly interesting info!

Good luck with yours. :D

Jaguar catfish can be coaxed out with live blackworms. Just make sure you feed them durin the day forcing them to come out. All fish can be forced to follow a schedule if your just consistent. I fed mine at the same time everyday and they eventually got it. At around 6 P.M. everyday they'd start patrolin the tank knowing feeding time was approaching. Like all cat's they're happy to gorge themselves and when properly satiated they gladly sit in the open with bellies bulgin. I have plenty of pics of mine in previous posts and you can feel free to look them up. Some of them have usefull info on them an plenty of pics. Also the selling of Jaguars is seasonal so they're hard to get, but aquascape gets them an so does Rich from Infinite from time to time. You just have to be very vigilant. An the noises come from when they find a crevice to hide in and another cat tries to push in their with them. They don't like that an grunt like crazy. The noise comes from them rubbin their pectoral fins together. An if your not prepared for it you could go crazy tryin to figure out where it's comin from. Plus they usually do it late night an my 75 is in my bedroom so I had to get used to sleepin thru it. Sorry I run off at the mouth alot, but good luck they're cool fish and have some of the best colors on a freshwater fish an are well worth lookin for.

FINALLY!! It's been about 2 weeks i got my jag and yest i was feeding my fish just like every other day at arround 8pm and he finally decided to come out! it was the first time i saw him since i put him in my tank. he always hides under the drift wood!! and WOW its beautiful!!!! it definitly made my night! when i first got it it was pretty small and now it got a lot fatter. he just came out and vaccumed everything arround him in a sec n went back in! cant wait for tonight... i think the key is to put the food pretty close to him so he can smell it or smt. i tried it yesterday and it worked!
