hey, 2 questions, What is the Life expectency of a Jaguar or any chiclid,

ALso, does anybody else notice that their Jaguars can be really moody,

Mine sometimes will have his run of the tank chase other fish watch me outside the tank eat alot, then one week he will just hide barley moving not eating,

I mean I know its weired to say hes frowning...but he just looks depressed... lol

anybody notice it with there Jaguar?
life expectancy is up to 10years+ if you look after it.

he probably becomes really moody as its time for a WC if you havent done one for a week or so.

NOTE: its not CHICLID!!!! its Cichlid

from what ive observed i have 4 chiclids to african and 2 parrots and a plako but they are pretty territorial and shoul need alot of space for them

I have a jag pair and there fine breeding with my endli in there male's 9" female's 7"

jags arent that bad, so long as you raise them in a community setting. i keep my pair with 8 oscars and 6 red devils along with about 26 other fish some of which as small as 2" they even get along with the 1 goldfish that i have in there.

Based on my own experience, I don't find jags all that aggressive. They will chase fish that come close to their territory, but other than flared up gills, my jag was a model citizen in his tank.

Right now i have a 55 gallon tank with a young oscar, a young jag, a blue crayfish, and 2 common plecos.. there all peacefull but sometimes the jag gets mad at my oscar who is a little smaller right now, but he leaves the crayfish alone. awhile ago i bought 2 convits that were smaller then the jag and they beat him up and chased him around the tank... little f**kers. the jaguar doesnt bother any other fish other then the oscar mostly at feeding time, and there both about 3 - 4 inch...im moving them and getting more chiclids in a few months (to a 300 gallon)
