Congrats! What you do from here is totally up to you, and depends on your goals. If you are trying to maximize survival then pulling the eggs wouldn't have been a bad idea. Pulling them now is pretty easy as you should be able to siphon them up. They are free swimming now and should have no problem with prepared foods or artemia.

In my opinion it is easier to do this now because once they are big enough to take off on their own then you end up tearing the tank apart to get the stubborn ones out of every crevice.

However if this is purely for fun, the most fun part of breeding cichlids is watching the parents care for the fry. So leave them until the parents look like they start losing interest. I think the three week plan is a good one.
