lol thanks, i actually pick these guys up from someone else a month ago, didnt know they were gona breed this fast. hopefully the eggs hatch:headbang2

mine breed all the time. It takes about 3 days to hatch and you will notice the female move them all to one small pile and keep and eye on them. as for food. I have had good results with just using a good quality flake food. Just take a small pinch and crush between your fingers and just let it fall in. Will basically look like flake dust but they will eat it and seem to grow fast on it. Once about a month old you can feed brine pretty easy but still offer the flake as some of them will grow faster than others.

when should i separate them from the parents?

thats your call. I have had more offspring actually make it when I left them with the parents(for the first month anyways) In my experience Jags are usually really good parents.

breeding failed. the eggs turned white for some reason and the parents ate them.
My first experience failed, hopefully next time they breed the eggs will hatch..

yes they will eat thier fry when they get a sertain size. so think after abuot 3 weeks you should seperate them and put the fry in a 10g if you have any question contact me at (847)-473-3218,message,or e-mail me at fatjames_1@yahoo.com
