Could you post a picture of the jag and the tank?

Also don't feed chicken, if he won't eat bloodworms or earthworms he definitely won't eat chicken. Not to mention it's really unhealthy.

this are few photos

Definitely provide more cover, you can remove it later when your jag becomes less shy. Also what temp is your water? Try raising it to around 82 F that will increase the metabolism of the fish and make him hungrier. Don't forget to raise it slowly to not stress the fish.

What is your water change schedule like?

I wouldn't worry too much fish don't generally die of starvation. Judging from the picture, which is not the clearest so I could be wrong, he doesn't look too skinny. Perhaps he is eating and you are not noticing.

Another thing you should do is ask the fish store what they were feeding him and if he was eating.

they said he was eating but you might be wright he may eat and don't notice ...my water temperature is around 82 F and 3 hours ago i done a water change ......now lets talk just a bit about tankmates...what can i add ..what species ?? i only need one answer and then come back at our feeding problem

It's difficult because your Jag is shy, normally a Jag is ok with just about anything. I would try a smaller Oscar but keep in mind your going to need a minimum of 125 in like 2-3 months. You could also try a schooling fish like a small neon, it will be 2 birds with one stone, make your Jag more comfortable and he should eat them.

this are the photos now can you give me more information about what should i do ???

Get the fish in a bigger tank.

Do some basic research on the fish species. You don't put platties and clown loaches in a tank with a managuense (a) and (b) in a tank that is too small for the managuense let alone other fish.

Ignore suggestions to give your fish meat...chicken, beef heart...whatever. That's just a BAD idea. Uneaten food fouls the water, and there are plenty of REAL foods to feed your fish without having to shop at the deli.

If the fish doesn't feel comfortable with his surroundings...say, because the tank is too small...they will hide. Second...this particular species spends a lot of time in hiding. It is an ambush predator.

Aquamojo is 100% right.

Unfortunately some people will put fish in tanks that are too small, LFS don't help with the matter, I saw Shovelones' for sale at mine, LFS shouldn't even carry this fish, it should be special order only.

Get yourself a 125 if possible, if not you should see if you can't trade the fish with someone better equipped. Your tank would be ideal for dwarf cichlids, perhaps german blue rams or electric blues, maybe even some killifish.

good news.....he eaten half of the plattie and now the other half is gone....and about hiding if i go to the tank he is sometimes going to hide but if i am not going to the tank he is swimming all over the tank and he is pretty active....so , i hope that he is going to eat more food

yes you are wright but the plattie was just a food for him not a tankmate and i don't think the tank is too small as he is pretty active as not activity is the problem , his feeding schedule is
