Jaguar cichlid pair

They'll be fine in a 120. I've heard of a pair only being in a 55. If the filtration is alright then go for it. When they spawn they don't move away from their fry, so not a ton of room is needed if its just intended for breeding.

I had a breeding pair of jags, but like everyone else said, don't try to put anything else in there with them, I had two other fish in that tank that got shredded as soon as they decided to pair up.

My lone male has 5 silver dollars with him, I would put a couple of fast moving fish with the pair to preven (hopefully) the male from zeroing on the female when he goes berzerk. Adding a mirror after a water change also helps, my experience is that after a water change the male goes berzerk.
