To me it looks to be a young male.
The slope of the forehead.
And the spots on the jaw and lower gill plate.
Female Parachromis have a more torpedo shaped profile, and the lower jaw and gill plate are "usually"devoid of spots.

IME female jags have more of the football shape and males are more streamlined with a more pronounced jaw. I guess it varies
