I mean I paid $50 for my 3" Jag back in last september but he's Wild caught and has grown to be one of the nicest fish I have ever owned. As some said they can be kitty cats and others can be a pain in the @$$. Mine is more calm as he doesn't fight with many fish and he never bites me. Only when my pair is breeding they will bite me.
125 BARE MINIMUM IMO. Never a 29! I believe a 125 will hold a pair of Jags for life. Males get to about 14" but do get to 16+". Females typically you won't see one over 13". Breeding is almost insane with them the produce more fry than any other fish I have ever kept. I mean THOUSANDS! I feed lots of Meaty foods to mine like shrimp, krill, Ghost shrimp, but I also feed pellets as a staple. Water changes are very Important with big fish so.... never miss one.
