I got my guy in a 75g tank right now. He's doing fine. He's about 9" and aggressive as ever now that it's only him and a catfish. None of the other tank mates survived the move

You made a great choice! Jags are very cool cichlids, I have seen these in 75's and looking pretty good, bigger is always better and if you can upgrade before it gets too big of course that is ideal, but it should be fine for now. It will get agressive as it grows and I don't know of any unique care it needs other than that of other large cichlids like oscars, Good luck and I look forward to pics of this great fish!!
