what's up everyone, new to the mfk's site. i was wondering if anyone could give some info on jaguar cichlid, red devil, red terorr. im keeping them in 60 gal tank right now all about 4". if anyone has any info to plz reply. thanks :cheers:
 
WATCH OUT FOR AGRESSION. They all can be real mean. You gonna need to step up to a 4 foot long tank or larger . I wouldnt add any other fish unless they are like polypterus, or catfish to your tank. cichlids mostly ignore them. and they add some flavor to the tank. Dont feed them feeders unless your breeding them your self and no they infection free. Give wide verity of diet for most colors. pellets shrimp fish. pellets. and good luck
 
it all depends on how the fish interact. ive kept bunch of fish together that shouldnt have been with no problems.
at the same time 1 day aprt my midas pair and my jag pair both gave me eggs and they were fertle. they were in the same 150 gal tank with all the fish in my deceased list under my name
 
Well i had a 4 inch jag. and a 5 inch RD. One day they were fine the next day the jad was basically chewed on at the bottom of the tank dead. The jag was the only thing in the tank that would challenge the RD which ultimately led to his demise.
 
every fish is difrent just like people. I have a habbit of over stocking a tank alittle. and by doin this i mange to keep agression at a min . Makes it so theres no one fish getting picked on in the tank. im working out some agression problems right now. I got a pair of breeding jags in a 75 with a polleni sp and male flowerhorn. the jags hate the fh and the polleni hate the fh but the jags and polleni like each other and team up on the fh go figure!
 
i agree with wicked you never know what fish will do but that may be a tough combo to deal with
 
My jag was fairly mellow until it hit about 5 inches. Now it goes after every fish in the tank. I'll have to keep it by itself soon.
