Hmm. Well I can see what you mean in the second picture if I zoom in. They do look ever so slightly lifted, but not sticking out.
Maybe someone else can comment on it more.

I'd keep the water clean as possible and keep an eye on it.

I am not seeing an issue. sorry about your mom, keep the water pristine. when in dowt always keep the water pristine. Jags are pretty hardy fish.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine.

It's ok, smoking probably did it it's pretty sad she had stopped smoking about a month before and had been going to the gym an hour a day every day for about 6 months before it happened aswell, so don't smoke yet I still do haha. Bloody addictive ****, oh well got to stay positive that's what it's about because in the scheme of things we're just a fragment in time and time goes so quickly so make the most of it ae

Time does fly for sure.
That is a shame that it was after she was making such positive progress. I am a firm believer in "when it's your time, it's your time." It gives me peace of mind in a way.
And you are right about staying positive. If today is all any of us had its best to spend it happy. And what better way to be happy then to enjoy ones fish
