how many people on here keep jaguar cichlids in a community envoiroment

i one he must have just hit about 7inches
started to notice him flaring with my severum<theres no fighting just my face is bigger than yours>

just wonderered what aggretions like with your guys

Jags can be pretty aggressive. Unless given the proper space they are really not community fish.

I am setting up a CA community tank stocked with a jag, mota, carpinte and salvini so hopefully they all play nice and don't kill each other. Wish me luck.

A 10 gallon my biggest tank yet so far and it is pretty big.......... lol no they are goin a 125 for now until I hope to get a 240.

Mines pretty mean to a mayan and pike cichlid but haven't had any serious injuries yet except to the jag him self just bumping into things.

i find that keeping jaguars in a community works best, if there is only one, if you have 2 that are breeding, i'd keep them in a seperate tank, because they'll maul everything else.

I'm keeping a 12+" Jaguar in a 156 gallon community tank with a Synspillum, Trimac, 4 silver dollars and 2 filament barbs. The tank is 60x24x25. The Syns is only 8" and the Trimac is only about 4-5". I'm sure I'll eventually have to rearrange the tankmates to other tanks but we'll see.

i am going to try to put my jag with my midas thats 1in. smaller but way bigger in a 250 with a few others . if that doesnt work i'll just setup a 125 for breeding.

I keep my Jag with 2 Oscars,a pictus cat a chocolate Pleco and a huge black cat(around 12 inches)the Jag is roughly 6 -7 inches and the O's are the same size.The tank is a 220 and there is little to no aggression(except at feeding time!!)
