jaguar colour

Hi all, as some may have read I recently "rescued" a little jag (around 2 maybe 2.5in) it is very dark at the moment...and wondered how these guys change with age/size....is a dark baby likely to be a dark adult? or is it completely random? I know stress and status in the tank etc all affect colour, but wondered if anyone has had any dark babies blossom into nice vivid colourful adults?

it's probably just typical stress coloration - probably a female, too.

Deff female shorter body and fins still might be young let me get some pics on my male Honduran jag so u can see the amazing color to come with this species

I find they get better as they get older heres my male too for ever to get this pic but u can see his blues golds and pinks

Yours may be one mine looks very similar when I got mine but when it healed (due to a jack Dempsey) and wasn't stressed anymore it turned into that either way u have a nice fish
