fat blue lipped jags, (shiver)

OK, so maybe keep a few to see what they look like but don`t distribute them. I still maintain your time is better spent on an actual species. IMO this whole hybrid thing has gotten out of hand. With hundreds of species to choose from, some of which are endangered and still others rare in the hobby, why bother with hybrids at all?

it just happened randomly in his tank, no harm in growing a few out to see what they look like, its just curiosity. Now if he decides to sell them and mislabels them that's a different story

He'll have to do more than just keep a few he'll have to raise them all and pick out from the batch at about three inches for the best results of the spawn by this time he might as well search for a buyer someone will want them for sure maybe not you or pops this whole hybrid thing is life thats why bother all a hybrid is, is the results of two species with different genetics if you breed a northern jaguar with southern jaguar it would not be a pure jaguar nearly everything out there you would spend your time and money on breeding pure species is actually a man made variant of its wild cousins and if put through a dna test would match with its species populations from different areas rather than matching with a population from just one area besides this would happen just the same in the wild if given the opportunity I don't see why you think the whole hybrid thing has gotten out of hand there's tons of possibilities through hybridization in ca cichlids and also just a couple of ca x sa cichlids but there's only a handfull of documented with photographic evedence out there your really crying over spilt milk here and don't seem to realize it

Hahaha calm down my fish keeping friends. There was never an intent to breed/sell any fish, this was a random act in a community tank. If I have a few make it then great, if not it ok. I myself do keep a few hybrids because I like how they look. I will do what I like in this hobby, not what others like/want. Let's remember why we got into this instead of constant debates. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone and happy fish keeping
