Jaguar<->Lizard

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Its just a tail wound - the gecko should be fine. I wouldn't feed it to your jag for multiple reasons, number 1 being safety issues for your jag, number 1.5 being that gecko is too pretty to kill.

We are not going to make this personal with comments about the kind of person the OP is or isn't. A question was asked and deserves a respectful answer or none at all..

OP - I agree to just stick a good pellet diet and send this little guy along its way. Mainly from the perspective of the threat of introducing anything hitching a ride from the wild and getting your jag sick.

OBVIOUSLY HE THINKS THAT THE LIZARD WONT SURVIVE ITS WOUND.....SORRY CAPS KEY IS STUCK

pretty sure it's not wounded, fatally or otherwise ... geckos can survive losing their tails, they do it as a defense mechanism ...

and no, I would not feed it to a fish ...

thanks all, didnt know, sorry, im not a mean person. Just thought it could be a viable food for him. Now I know

Good for you for at least asking first. Don't take offense, people tend to get up in arms when they see something cute. If you posted a pic of an earthworm, responses would look a lot different.

BTW, don't post this in the reptile section or we will have some serious thread cleanup on our hands! :ROFL:

Has anyone else put out the fact since the OP is in socal this is likely an escaped or released pet? Or are these native to some parts of California? I'm not good with herps...

Actually, just googled it, there are 3 species of gecko native to CA. Learn something new everyday...

Btw, i let him go..

glad to hear it ... on the plus side, geckos are great at controlling other pests in your yard, like bugs

we have 'em here in Florida, too ...
