The last pic it wasn't in a bare bottom tank the Jag moved the substrate but thank you for the advice ? also it paired up with a male flowerhorn in that tank which is why I moved it out into another tank which it changed colour in, so it has always been in a tank with dark substrate? Also the other Jag has a gold background like a Male would have yet looks female this is why I'm so confused as only been keeping Jags for nearly a year and everything I've learnt so far these fish are doing the opposite lolHe's washed out in that tank the picture in the first post he's in a tank with substrate fish try to match their surroundings as best as possible (like in the bare bottom tank
Another good way.The only true way to check the sex is by venting. Remove the fish and check it's genitalia.
