+1 :)
n yeah you wont be disappointed with motas at all they are gorgeous fish as well, though they tend to be a bit more skittish than jags so make sure to spend plenty of time in front of the tank when you feed these guys to avoid this if you do end up getting them

Sounds good. Yeah the tank will in the living room of my small apartment so I will be around a lot. I think these will be the guys! Any other advice or experiences with these guys anyone?

Well I have been posting about motaguense so you can look up my recent thread about Red Tiger Motaguense to look at some pics of these guys. My avatar is a pic of my past jag making "friends" w/ a male festae...good times...

As previously stated by Sarah and Aquanero, motaguense are more skittish than jags, althouh IMO motaguense are prettier and more colorful. Jags come up to the front of the tank and generally "beg" for food. My current motas sit back and wait to be fed.

If you cannot get a larger tank than a 90 and you want a pair, then yes, motas are the way to go. You can also consider parachromis friedrichstahli as they get bright yellow and do not get as big as jags.

Also, remember to feed these guys good food as that will bring out the color best. I don't want to start a big arguement about food (much debate out there) but I personally found New Life Spectrum to work best for me.

Good luck and post pics!

Oh and too bad about not finding a jag in MD...my Petsmart here has 1-2" jags on sale for $2...looks like they might have regulars and golds too...but maybe they are all just mixed breeds...

Anyway..post pics!
