Help Jaguar lovers, please.

My Jaguar cichlid is about 15cm long and has been in his tank now for well over a year. He basicly has the tank to himself, but i have just recently introduced my High fin Pleco, they were both fine with this, no problems. But now my Jaguar, is laying on the ground (straight up, not skew or anything) and is breathing heavily, looks like he might be scared to come out from under my big rock, he does swim around, but just for like 20sec then goes to lay on the bottom again. The last thing he ate was a goldfish, he is not eating now either. Colours are normal too. Water parameters are all fine, besides the temperature, i found it on 28.6 degress celcius. So now ive turned it down to about 26.5 degress celcius. Any1 know what is going on maybe?

The is plenty of filters in the tank and plenty of bubbles, so thats not the problem. Maybe his just constipated or something? Or maybe the temperature?

Ok ive just had a closer look at him and i see tiny tiny white markings that are sticking out of his body and almost flowing (moving) in the water, when he swims, like tiny white worms sticking out or could be pieces of his scales coming off, but you gotta look really close to see them. You can see them sticking out easily from a head-on view

Could you post some pics? From your description it could be parasites but we'll need some pictures to give you the best advice. Also refrain from feeding goldfish. They have little nutritional value for cichlids and can harbor many diseases and parasites. There's really no point in feeding them to your Jag, especially if it is fed a quality fish food.

Can you provide a picture. My first guess would be that the goldfish gave your Jag something. IMO I would never feed goldfish, no nutritional help and possibly full of disease. Now if you raise your own GF and feed them good food and keep their water clean, then GF can be a decent source of food.

But a picture will go a long way.

Yea i can post a picture, but i dont have my Aunts KILLEr of a cannon camera here, so you wouldnt be able to see, but just wait a few minutes Ill try find something on the net, that looks similar. . .watch this space

Could of exagerated for abit, Iv had him 8 months exactly and his size is about 15-18cm, He usuassly eats pellets or frozen cocktail shrimp, he only gets GF when my eel is not quick enough. Which was about 2days ago. 30% water changes every 2weeks. I did a 50% water change 2days ago. He is in a 1.2 meter tank. 50cm high.

I cant seem to find any pictures of what i see on the net, but its almost like he is peeling but only ever so slightly. White strands you could say, but thing tiny white strands.

And i can only see like 4 on the one side of him, what about anchor worms maybe? I have a black backround and if i look straight at it , sometimes i see a tiny white worm wriggling around, floating in the water, is that an anchor worm from the goldfish?

I'm not sure what white worms you are seeing. They could just be Planaria Worms. But if these worms are crawling out from between your Jag's scales, then it is something else entirely. i don't think anyone can confidently recommend you a treatment without knowing a little more of what the problem is. How many and what other fish are in this tank?
