geez i hope not. theres no LFS by you that can suggest a cure? does he ever eat a little substrate by accident? i heard peas can help with swim bladder problems.
That jag looks tiny for being 2 years old. And something is definitely wrong with him.
I share their concerns. A Jag of 2 years should be much larger and heavier than this one. Has it lost weight in the 8 months that it has been sick? What size tank is it in? You'll probably need some meds to treat for internal infections since this has gone on for so long.jag looks very stunted, maybe even deformed, it looks very skinny too, did you buy him like this or has gotten progressively worse, what are your water params ?
That's why I asked if the sickness caused the loss of weight. I didn't know if it was small or thin before its sickness. there wasn't much background given about the Jag other than its general ailment.remember hes been suffering this for 8 months guys. hes had plenty of time to get skinny
There is a sticky in the Freshwater Disease forum about swim bladder issues and their causes. If you haven't read it, you should. It will also give you advice on how to treat it if this is the problem. I hope that your Jag makes it.Yes I understand that he's too skinny, he absolutely wasn't like that before the problem, I think the bladder took place in his belly and now it smaller.
Since then he has the swim bladder problem he didn't grow even a millimeter.
Before the problem he was in 105 gallon tank but now he's in 30 gallon because now he doesn't need more than that.
