jaguars cichlids teeth

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here is my jag at around 8 + inches about a couple months ago with a tooth showing
What I notice tho is that you see a wild caught jag the same size with much more teeth showing looking like daggers...
So does that evidence a change in the morphology of aquarium strain jag vs a wild caught( bigger lips and or smaller teeth).... Like for example that in which we see another fish such as wild caught Red Devils lips vs aquarium strain Red Devils lips ... I know my Jaguar digs a lot and bangs a glass but I still would have thought his teeth would be bigger... Because I know they're piscivorous has made me think about giving him feeders to see if his teeth will grow... Just a thought.....

yes, I own, or did own 99.9% of the fish in my photos.
I no longer own the haitiensus, the female died of ich during a power outage, so I then I traded the male for some beani, a few years back.
