Jaguars

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
they will need a large tank of there own, breading jags get very very aggressive. chances are against them pairing but they may. have a spare tank handy as the male may try to kill the female. he may also beat her up or kill her even if they do pair up some time down the road.

how old are the jags? sure they a male and a female? how large is the tank you want to use?

its possible. chances slim, she only one in the 155? and males are larger than females. at 5 years old male should be 16" at-least and female 12 to 14"

Agreed and I'd have a divider if they didn't grow up together or there likely to rip each other apart. Jag breeding is a violent affair for fish that have lived together let alone new individuals

Well you can do the old egg crate divider trick. Just have a couple of holes that the female can get through, not the male. When my Jags spawned they were in a 90 by themselves and it was just a love fest. The male was a perfect gentleman. They had been introduced to each other and were both around 1.5 yrs old. What you are trying to do is better for the hobby genetically than letting brother and sister spawn. Having two fish from different bloodlines I would think is always a bonus, just a little trickier.
