is there a male in the tank if no then i would just get rid of the eggs some cichlids like jags will do this from time to time if they don't get fertilized by a male they will just die and rot or grow fungus so its best just to remove them

So should I take them out and put them in another tank or leave them. I keep hearing people say their fish ate their young.

goodluck let me know how it goes... most cichlids take care of their young... i dont know about hybrids

I have left my dovii fry in my tank for over a month now and they have been some of the best parents I have witnessed. Very protective. If you want you can leave half in the tank and take half out and put in a tank solely for them. But I recommend leaving them in there, the parents will take care of them, but then again I also don't know how hybrid parents are.

The jag is protecting the eggs well. Im just worried b/c I have 2 crays, 2CAE's a midas and a Lima in the tank also. But from what ive seen they dont have a chance. The jag is pretty fierce.

When your fish has fertilized eggs and/or fry the parents will make sure nothing comes close to the eggs or fry. Your jag will prob kill the 2 crays if they get too close but the midas could be a problem. How big are the jag and midas?
