Jamie's First Ray :) Pic thread...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have been busy! Darn kids, christmas, family stuff...you know. Here is one piece, i have a couple smaller ones too that are malaysian. This one is about 4 and a half feet long. I dont' have a tank longer than 4', lol. DOH! I hollowed it out completely in the idea of it being nice for anchoring plants and for caves.

i love your new baby... and all the others are so cute to.. especially ornate .... i love seeing the ray up and about.. one of these days i will get one...

looks great.

I, too, would just do a large piece of wood and maybe some floating plants if you want.

Nice ray....your tank needs a background, glad you ditched the marbles.
Are those two hobs the only thing filtering your tank?

nah actually there are 3 now and they are getting swapped out for a cansiter thats my xmas present...

i havent decided...everyone has diff reviews on all of them lol...do you prefer one over the other? think one works better? u can actually see the filters in the last pic are all pushed over to make room for another...

Both are great and reliable brands. I don't own an eheim 2262, but from what I've heard/seen, they are the best canisters out there.

FX5 if you want flow and price (900 gph w/o media, $200 on ebay), 2260 if you want less flow but better filter (500 gph w/o media, $300 online) and 2262 if you want flow and better filter (900 gph w/o media, $475 online)

none of this comes from direct experience, so be warned
