Oh, so you mean more photoshopped pics? You decided on the other doctored pic to win the contest....Seriously, bro, you can't possibly expect people to take those pics seriously? I mean come on. The lighting from one direction on some of the fish but at a different angle for other fish. Sad. So sad....

You mean all of these pics in his threads are all faked? http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102498

Hey Fanatic...you got me/us. The hardest thing to do though was get the reflection of the discus on the aros gill and the plants below on its midsection. My best work though is the pic below. I was actually able to create a shadow of the aros fins onto the side of the discus:naughty:

Are you here for pictures or to learn? Go troll somewhere else! :nutkick:

I didn't vote on anything. I just found the sight a couple of days ago after 20+ years in the hobby. I checked out the POTM thread and found the bogus shots that this guy submitted and you guys fell for.

Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news but the guy submitted doctored pics. Not unheard of on the net. I'm just sorry that I had to bring it up. The angle of the lighting on the various fish, the outline of the overly bright discus against the not so bright aro? For a POTM winner this is equivalent to Barry Bonds and the "supplements" he was taking.

Not sure what the staff were smoking when they reviewed this or if they reviewed it at all, but this pic is doctored and the staff dropped the ball.

BTW, in my not so extensive experience with Discuss I never knew them to swim toward a gigantic predatory fish with wide eyed curiosity. Any discus folks out there that wonder why these oh so shy cichlids are swimming towards a gigantic Aro that is angling towards them? To me the answer is obvious. The Discus aren't in the same tank when the pic is taken. No way they want to get up close and personal with a fish that big. instinct for those fish is to hide which is why it takes photoshop to concoct a pic with a gigantic aro and discus all up in his grill.

But since this site seems to have a hard on for whatever pic is submitted with an aro in it the staff seems to look the other way when the pic is obviously doctored.

I hope my last post was as good as my first....Adieu everyone....Any site that employs a staff as near sighted as these folks needs some serious help. I expect a nice banning out of this...Ah well...It was worth it to point out such an apparent fraud.....

Everyone take a good look again. the discus behind the leaf is authentic. The two discus in front are authentic. The Aro in the same tank is not and not even close.

But hey, most everyone fell for it and instead of admitting mistakes as most Americans are hard pressed to do I expect the vast majority of you to defend that pic (and the other one which was also doctored) rather than admit to getting taken. Good luck with that.
This shows how little you know about discus, and how narrow your tunnel is.

Well at least it has discus in the pic lol! Congrats, great pic.

haha - I really did like this tank setup. Discus and aros sounded so cool. Congrats.

I did like a lot fo the other ones though! This was a really hard POTM.

Oh, and I think "the fanatic" has had 20+ years of fishkeeping experience working at a poopsmart.
